Epic Inpatient Order Set Review Process

Our inpatient build team has finalized the first group of order sets for inclusion in Epic, but we need your help. Before we move forward with these order sets we would like get your feedback to ensure the order sets we developed are in line with your expectations.  To review the order sets and provide feedback, we have set up two mechanisms –

The “Induct” Website – https://BJCEpic.Induct.NO

To begin the review process, you will log on to the site and be able to view draft order set pdf documents by specialty.  Induct is similar to a social-media platform and allows you to comment on the order sets, read other providers’ comments and reply, or simply ‘like’ an order set. Our team will be monitoring the website and will respond or incorporate the feedback as appropriate.

The Induct site will go live on May 23rd and the order sets will be available to review until June 10th. All providers with ‘bjc.org’ and ‘wustl.edu’ email addresses should have immediate access to the Induct platform, as should many providers whose email addresses we have on file. Those that do not have immediate access or experience any trouble accessing Induct should contact the program team at [email protected] and we will make sure you are granted access in a timely manner.

In-person Review Sessions

A series of in-person specialty specific review sessions will take place at the BJC Learning Institute from May 23rd through June 6th. The sessions will occur at varying times within a standing 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM window and led by the providers involved in the order set development and the HIP Epic Orders team. Before you begin the order set review process, please take a look at the Epic Order Set Review Guide. The Review Guide will provide detailed instructions on the review process, the structure of order sets, order set best practices, navigation tools, and how to provide feedback.

• The Adult Cardiology Review session is rescheduled for Wave 2 or Order Sets Review.  More information will be provided.
• Pediatric ENT and Pediatric Newborn sessions are rescheduled from June 1 to June 13.
