• Review and become familiar with these BJC Epic Orientation process maps. Processes are available for new BJC employees, Agency contractors, and Transfer employees.
  • Follow the process to ensure employees do not have delays in their Epic access and their ability to perform their role.
  • Proactively discuss and reinforce the standard orientation training schedule to potential hires.
  • Enter employee information into the Validation Portal. Or assign a designee to enter this information on your behalf.

Existing Staff

  • Share this message and associated resources with team members involved in the new orientation process.
  • Team members who transfer to a position that requires Epic access will be impacted by this Epic orientation process. This applies to employees who did not previously use Epic in their old role but will require Epic access in their new role, and those who will require additional or different Epic access than their previous role.

New Hires

  • For all new BJC employees, aside from those hired for Boone Hospital Center, Epic Training will occur in St. Louis, MO. This may require them to make necessary scheduling and travel arrangements to attend classes.
  • Epic New Employee Orientation Training is offered on a set, standardized schedule. Review the classroom schedule with the hiring manager to sign up for the available dates and times. 
  • Team members who transfer to a position that requires Epic access will be impacted by this Epic orientation process. This applies to employees who did not previously use Epic in their old role but will require Epic access in their new role, and those who will require additional or different Epic access than their previous role
